The Wyoming State Purchasing has released a Request for Proposals for an Independent Living Needs Assessment. The proposals are due to Purchasing by March 20, 2012, at 2:00 PM, Mountain Time. The State Independent Living Council will be holding their quarterly meeting on Friday, February 10, 9:00 AM – 12:50 PM over the Wyoming Video Conference System. Sites will be in Casper at 851 Werner Court, Suite 121; Cody at 1026 Blackburn; the Cheyenne State Library, Room 104 at 2800 Central Avenue; Laramie at 112 South 5th Street; Wheatland at 956 Maple; and Riverton at 422 East Fremont. This meeting is open to the public and will deal with the Council's efforts to improve independent living services for Wyoming citizens with disabilities. The State Independent Living Council will be holding their quarterly meeting on Tuesday, August 16, 8 AM-5 PM and on Wednesday, August 17, 1 PM-5 PM at the Holiday Inn on 1701 Sheridan Avenue in Cody, Wyoming. The meeting on Wednesday will be combined with the State Rehabilitation Council. This meeting is open to the public and will deal with the Council's efforts to improve independent living services for Wyoming citizens with disabilities. The Wyoming Statewide Independent Living Council is currently seekisng new members. SILC seeks membership applications from all parts of the state of Wyoming. SILC is interested in applicants from persons with a variety of disability types. Participation in the council is required at least quarterly at the regular council meetings. Accommodations for disabilities will be made to allow your participation. Accommodations might include such things as: Real-time transcriptionist; attendant care; large print or braille materials etc. Participation in council meetings may require travel, and members appointed by the Governor, will be reimbursed at State of Wyoming rates for their travel expenses.
